A multifaceted organization, Interfas was founded by Dr.
Dora Fried Schnitman in 1984. It is a multidisciplinary institution that works on education, counseling, consulting, outreach, research, the development and implementation of models and work methodologies that facilitate- allow understanding and help people and institutions in the creative resolution of crises and conflicts and human problems.
Interfas is known for the outstanding development of international programs. The areas in which it works include the development of post-graduate academic programs, research, consulting and counseling advisory on international, regional and local levels. It is characterized by introducing new paradigms and practices, training in new models, the acquisition of perspectives and competences, the creation of methodologies, networks and learning communities.
At the beginning, Interfas focused exclusively on systemic family therapy and epistemology. It soon grew into a center for advanced studies and training in new paradigms for therapy, communications, science, contemporary culture, conflict management and resolution, team and organizational development, and other related fields (see “Interfas
Today” section).
